Linking innovation, knowledge and new ideas from companies large and small is one of the most important approaches available in today’s hyper-connected world.  At P&G’s innovation centers Mr. Franz Dill scouted start-ups, brought them into the contextual innovation centers and coached them in ways to succeed.  Franz is a champion of ways to measure and focus results using innovative business intelligence, modeling and visualization methods.  Franz summarizes, “I am passionate about making useful things happen.”

Franz’s Academic background is in astrophysics and industrial mathematics.  For thirty years he was with the Procter & Gamble Company.  There he acted as a chief scientist for analytics and as an emergent technologist.

He founded P&G’s groundbreaking contextual innovation centers, now with over sixteen centers world-wide.  He established the company’s web 2.0 capabilities, writing the most read blog in the company.

He pioneered the use of agent-based simulation for predictive modeling.  He was also a member of Procter & Gamble’s Cognitive Analysis Council.  He is responsible for many innovations and hundreds of millions of dollars in savings.  He retired in March of 2008 and is now the Director at RBR in business intelligence in marketing, retail innovation, HR, knowledge management and related areas.

He continues to manage a broad network of innovators, academics and business practitioners.
